Advanced Placement* Summer Institute
Registration Information
Oklahoma public school teachers may attend the Institute – as a resident with double-occupancy lodging or commuter – free of charge through the Oklahoma AP* Incentive Program established by the State Department of Education by submitting a completed registration form. The Incentive Program does not cover the additional costs for a single room.
NOTE TO OKLAHOMA PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHERS: We are very fortunate that the State Department of Education is able to cover the registration fee for Oklahoma Public School teachers (commuter or resident). Please do not abuse this opportunity.
If you register, but then find that you must cancel, please contact our office in writing at sammif@ou.edu or by fax at (405) 325-0860 immediately. We often have people on waiting lists who would love to attend and have access to all of the wonderful materials that are distributed during the week. Due to waiting lists, participants who find they cannot attend will not be allowed to substitute themselves with a different teacher. Participants who cancel after the June 15 deadline or fail to attend the Institute will be personally billed $640 and the State Department of Oklahoma will notify their school district. |
Oklahoma private school teachers or teachers from other states are not covered by Oklahoma State funding. Participants in these categories need to follow the instructions on the registration form to register.
Registration Fees
Commuter or resident registration fees for Oklahoma public teachers are covered by the AP* Incentive Program (with double-occupancy hotel lodging) . The additional fees for a single room, if desired, are not covered and are due with registration. There are a limited number of single rooms available on a first-come, first-serve basis for an additional $225 for the week. Single rooms are only available during July 9-12.
The fee for Oklahoma private school teachers and teachers from other states is $640, which includes the Institute registration fee, course materials, lunches and if required, double occupancy hotel housing Sunday through Wednesday nights.
Registrations
Teachers may register by printing and completing the registration form:

FAX the completed and signed document with payment, if applicable, to (405) 325-0860 or

MAIL the completed and signed document with payment, if applicable, to the College of Continuing Education, 1700 Asp Avenue, Suite 220, Norman, OK 73071.
Note: All mailed or faxed registrations must be completed and signed on the second page by the registrant. Payment, where applicable, is due with the registration. Incomplete registrations will not be accepted. Registered participants will receive an acknowledgement letter within two weeks. The deadline for registering is June 15, 2011.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be in writing and sent to sammif@ou.edu or faxed to (405) 325-0860 by June 15. Due to waiting lists, participants who find they cannot attend will not be allowed to substitute themselves with a different teacher. Course viability will be determined approximately two weeks prior to the start date of the Institute. If a course is cancelled, participants will be given the option of enrolling in a different section where possible. The University assumes no liability for expenses incurred by a participant if their course is cancelled or if they are unable to attend or complete their course. The University of Oklahoma reserves the right to cancel courses, limit enrollment, and change instructors, location and course content if necessary.
